MUSEUM OF THE ODESSA SEAPORT
Museum named in the honour to F. De-Volan of the Odessa seaport was based on April 10, 1990. The opening took place at the bicentennial anniversary of Odessa. It is the only museum in Ukraine which displays a unique history of leading port of the country. Besides, in it the centuries-old history of Odessa and all Northern Black Sea Coast reveals.
At present the F.P.De-Volan plans about construction and strengthening of the port, Odessa itself and other cities of Ukraine found in the Russian archives are stored in a museum. Historians didn't know about their existence up to the end of the XX century. The exposition of a museum consists of 5 halls, total area 490sq meters and completely opens all the versatility of the port activity. Within the walls of a museum the events connected with port and its history, and also art exhibitions, the championships of Ukraine and area for ship-cons sptruction sports, meetings with veterans of war and work are constantly held.
