EXCURSION IN "THE HOUSE OF CLOWNS"

March 8th, 2003 in Odessa in the cinema "Druzhba', Olgiyevskaya St., 23 the unique cultural center — House of Clowns theater was opened. The idea of opening the theater was embodied by the comedian troupe of "Mask show" under the leadership of permanent leader George Deliyev. The premiere of the poetic comedy "Othello" that became one more gift to the city was dedicated to the opening of theater. As well as in the previous theatrical performances, the author of texts is Boris Barsky, and the director — George Deliyev.

From the first day of work of theater, doors are open for colleagues and adherents of well-known troupe: clowns and humorists — for all creative, unruly, extraordinary conceiving people. Separate programs are devoted to creativity of actors not only from Odessa, but also from other cities and the countries.

All performances are played on stage of theater on the basis of B.Barskogo's plays from the Hopscotch series: "Romeo and Juliette", "Don Juan", "Orpheus and Eurydice", etc., clownish programs from repertoire the comedian troupe. There is a plan to restore and put the performance "Night Symphony" in new processing. And meanwhile Boris Barsky thinks of the new comedy "Three Sisters".

Also in the House of clowns pass evenings of poetry of B.Barskiy which are constructed in the form of dialogue with a hall. And, according to Boris, in the solo program he shows all the creative opportunities, beginning from poetry and a pantomime and finishing vocal abilities, dances and demonstration of juggle.

Actors of "Mask show" don't forget about social actions. So on the eve of the Teachers' Day the comedian troupe and regional department of education held in "The house of clowns" a festive concert for teachers. Also at theater the Sunday family club which will please every Sunday children and adults with various entertainment programs is open.

Many perfomances take place at the theater scene specially for children. The performances "Sphere show", and also leading Israeli actors Zho-zho and Lily "The island of clowns" are so regularly played. The animals tremendous acrobatic tricks, actors improvisators who involve the audience in the actions are presented in programs of performance, doing the audience by participants of the play. All the performances and entertainment programs pass at the full notice so "Mask shows" think of possible expansion of the auditorium.

After "installation" of "Masks" in the former movie theater, the building significantly changed, and the main thing — got light and kind power. The restored spectator hall reminds the medieval city with statues, columns, balconies, getting in which you can forget about all adversities and grief. Scenery for a hall were made by known Kiev artist Alexander Batenev.

Guests of the House of clowns at an entrance are welcomed by clowns who give the chance to like sacred spirit of a holiday from first second of stay at theater — they conjure, stiffen in incredible figures, play with children, give them gifts, play prizes.

All visitors of theater have an opportunity to get acquainted with creativity of the eternal romantic the comedian troupe of "Mask show" — in the foyer of theater to buy collections of lyrics of B.Barskogo. Very interesting also is the theater hall. One of walls is art gallery of works of George Deliyev written by oil color, such as "An angel with weights", "Pioneer", "A negligent self-portrait", etc. On the other wall there are Alexander Postolenko's photoworks "Ice", "Zone" are placed, "They watch us" and many others. The third is a photo gallery of actors of the comedian troupe of "Mask show" performed by Elena Martynyuk. Actors decided to give admirers of the creativity a gift — on the fourth wall everyone can leave a wish to actors of "Masks".

After performance it is possible to prolong a holiday in the art cafe opened at theater, "Restor mana-mana". All visitors are met by Boris Barsky and Natalia Buzko.
