We are glad to acquaint guests of Odessa with the theater life of Odessa which began very early - almost with the city birth.

You will get acquainted with the history of creation and creative life of the Russian drama theater, the Ukrainian drama theater, Theatre of the musical comedy and, of course, one of the most beautiful theaters of the world - the Opera and ballet theater constructed according to the project of the Vienna architects Felner and Gelmera which auditorium strikes with unknown luxury and beauty and from which scene the best voices of the world sounded. You will meet one of the best music schools in the country, and also the Odessa conservatory which brought up a nice group of talented singers and performers, the violinist D. Oystrakh, pianists E.Gilels and S. Richter are among them. You will visit the building of the Odessa philharmonic hall and you'll learn about the creation of the philharmonic society.

Odessa was visited with concerts by the best musicians of the world, such as Franz Liszt; behind a conductor's stand acted Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov and others.

Odessa is one of the recognized jazz capitals. You'll learn about Leonid Utesov's life and creativity, who was a singer, an actor, a founder and a head of the famous jazz orchestra.
