TERNOPOL – KAMENETS-PODOLSKY – HOTIN
First day
- Meeting of tourists at the railway station in Ternopol. Short sightseeing tour around the city. Moving to the highest in Ukraine waterfall - "Dzhurinsky" (16 m). The Most beautiful Dzhurinsky waterfall, as it appeared, has a man-made origin – the Italian architect directed the natural bed of the river of Dzhurin to construct the 16-meter cascade. It turned out perfectly!
- Beginning of travel by underground treasuries: cave of "Verteba" — the only cave museum in Ukraine where tourists from first minutes get to the world, the civilization which have disappeared over 5000 years, and also a cave "Crystal" - walls of which are covered with the crystals of plaster snow-white or painted in various colors, that in turn and served the cave name.
- Late arrival in Kamenets-Podolsky. Accommodation in hotel. Dinner. Lodging for the night.
Second day
- Breakfast in the hotel.
- Walking tour on Kamenets-Podolsky. Today this city is called "a pearl of Podolia" and it is known, first of all, as the fortified city which received an international recognition. Kamenets consists of two parts - the New city (a modern administrative center) and the Old city which represents the real open-air museum. Having wandered its silent small streets together with the skilled guide you learn that almost each building has the legend, keeps some secret.
- Lunch break.
- Bus excursion in the city of Hotin. Historians carry the basis of the city of Hotin to the XI century, time of the Kiev prince Vladimir the Great. Having united the earth of the Kiev principality, he started constructing strengthenings in the territory of the Western Ukraine, including lands of Hotin. One of versions of an origin of the name of the city — from the Slavic word "Hoten" to which in the modern language corresponds an adjective "desired". The place for construction of the castle was chosen very successfully — it was high (to 20м) the stony cape formed by the channel of the Dnestr River and a bow-shaped canyon of a stream which bends around the cape from the northwest party. With the advent of the castle which protected one of crossings through Dnestr, the city started it's developing.
- Return to Kamenets-Podolsky. Coming back to the station.
